Tournament schedule for 6/11/16

Friday 6.10.2016

There are 2 tournaments this weekend, one hosted by Hermitage (11/12s) and the other hosted by West Middlesex (9/10s). Each team plays 2 games on Saturday for pool play.

TOURNAMENT GAME SCHEDULE

WEST MIDDLESEX TOURNAMENT

The 9/10 year old team managed by Jason Schenker:
Saturday 6.11.16
vs Cranberry at 3:00pm
vs WM at 7:00pm

HERMITAGE TOURNAMENT

The 11 year old team managed by Don Tonty:
Saturday 6.11.16
vs WM at 2:00pm
vs Hermitage at 6:00pm

The 12 year old team managed by John Thomas:
Saturday 6.11.16
vs Greenville at 10:00am
vs Center TWP at 4:00pm

For ALL of these teams, the results from their Saturday games will dictate their Sunday schedule. Good luck boys!

HERMITAGE, PA
Congratulations to the 9/10 Blue Devils team for making it to the championship game yesterday in the Hermitage Tournament. The boys earned the right to play for the championship by defeating West Middlesex 10-0 and then by beating Hermitage Black 12-10. In the championship game, the boys fell behind 9-0 early before battling back to make it 9-5 before running out of outs. The final score was Sharon 9 and Sharpsville 5. Congrats to Sharon on a great game and a well-deserved championship!

WEST MIDDLESEX, PA
It was Devils vs Devils in West Middlesex on Sunday as the 11 year old Sharpsville team faced the 12 year olds for the right to move on in bracket play. Although the 11's took the lead at one point, the 12's prevailed with a final score of 10-7. The Sharpsville 12's moved on to play Sharon where they succumbed to the Tigers 12-4.

Congratulations to all the Sharpsville Teams for a great weekend! We hope to see everyone in 2 weeks when Hermitage and West Middlesex again host tournament play, but with the age groups reversed. On June 11th and 12th, the 9/10's will be at WM and the 11/12's will play at Hermitage. Good luck boys!

Sunday 5.29.2016

HERMITAGE, PA
The 9/10 Blue Devils team won both of their games yesterday which earned them the #1 seed in today's bracket in the Hermitage Tournament. The boys started off with an 8-4 win against the Bulldogs out of Pittsburgh and then finished the day with a win against the Hermitage Gray team 14-2. Today, the 9/10 boys play West Middlesex at 12 noon in bracket play for the right to move on.

WEST MIDDLESEX, PA
The 11 year old Blue Devils team split their games in West Middlesex yesterday. They beat West Middlesex in their opener 16-4 but lost to The Green Sox 13-4 in their second game.
The 12 year old Blue Devils team started their day with a win over West Middlesex 6-3, however they lost their second game to Grove City 10-7.
Today's schedule for our boys in the West Middlesex Tournament pits the Sharpsville 11 year olds against the Sharpsville 12 year olds. This shootout takes place at high noon.

Come out to support our 9/10 and 11/12 tournament teams this weekend. There are games at Hermitage and West Middlesex.

TOURNAMENT GAME SCHEDULE

The 9/10 year old tournament team managed by Jason Schenker plays at Hermitage this weekend Saturday 5/28/16. They have 2 games scheduled, the first at 12 noon and the second at 4:00pm.

The 11/12 year olds have 2 teams playing in the West Middlesex tournament this Saturday as well.
Each team plays twice on Saturday.
The 11 year old tournament team managed by Don Tonty plays at 4:00pm and again at 6:00pm.
The 12 year old tournament team managed by John Thomas plays at 12 noon and again at 8:30pm.

For ALL of these teams, the results from their Saturday games will dictate their Sunday schedule.

There will be some great competitive ball being played this weekend. Come out to cheer on our boys!
